Description

Job Summary: This individual will lead and support the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs while integrating advanced instructional technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance learning outcomes. Additionally, the Assistant Principal will oversee attendance policies and ensure compliance with school regulations to maintain student engagement and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Leadership

Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s instructional programs. Collaborate with department heads and teachers to develop innovative curriculum plans that meet academic standards and engage students in critical thinking. Support and mentor teachers in instructional strategies, curriculum development, and professional growth. Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and student-centered instruction. Analyze academic performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in student achievement. Coordinate professional development workshops focused on instructional improvement and the integration of technology.

Instructional Technology and AI Integration

Lead the implementation of instructional technologies and AI tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Collaborate with IT staff to ensure that digital resources, platforms, and AI tools are effectively integrated into the curriculum. Train and support teachers in the use of instructional technology, digital tools, and AI for data-driven instruction and personalized learning. Stay updated on the latest educational technology trends and AI applications to improve the school’s academic offerings. Monitor the effectiveness of technology integration and AI initiatives to ensure positive student outcomes.

Attendance Management

Oversee and enforce school attendance policies and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of student attendance. Work with the attendance clerk and staff to monitor daily attendance, address absenteeism, and communicate with students and parents as needed. Develop intervention strategies for students with chronic absenteeism to increase engagement and attendance. Collaborate with student services and counselors to provide support for students with attendance challenges. Leadership and Administration Serve as a member of the school’s leadership team and collaborate with the Principal on school-wide initiatives and strategic planning. Assist in the development and management of the instructional budget, particularly regarding instructional technology and AI resources. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal education regulations related to curriculum, technology, and attendance. Act as a liaison between students, teachers, parents, and administration to address academic and attendance-related concerns. Represent the school in meetings and committees related to instructional programs, technology, and student attendance. Manage the disciplinary process for students with attendance violations in accordance with school policies.
