Description

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, monitors and maintains fixed assets for the Sunnyside Unified School District.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

TASKS:
Identifies, tracks, maintains and updates fixed asset and audit records; tracks movement of property, supplies and equipment within District; reconciles audits;performs data entry receiving based on packing slips provided from schools and departments and provides packing slips to accounts payable; performs data processing; manages listings of vehicles and equipment posted on auction website; responds to inquiries from potential bidders; meets with buyers to obtain necessary paperwork; maintains records and spreadsheet of items sold.
 
Works with Department and Site Asset Managers, MCT’s and IT Technicians to ensure all assets are properly coded and displayed in the Destiny inventory software; performs related duties as assigned; other tasks may include including, but not limited to, working in the areas of Purchasing and Warehouse Operations when additional assistance is needed.

 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of District policies and procedures.
Knowledge of reconciling and maintaining audits and fixed assets.
Knowledge of inventory and documentation processes.
Skill in record keeping.
Skill in evaluating and recommending bids.
Skill in training personnel on completing placement forms and data entry into the Destiny inventory software. 
Skill in following oral and written instructions.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in indoor, outdoor, and at times inclement environments. Work requires frequent standing, sitting, bending, vision to monitor, and may require some lifting. May be exposed to moving equipment. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years of fixed assets or data processing experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must possess an Arizona driver license.
Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.
 
Depending on the needs of the District, some incumbents in this class must be able to demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English as a condition of employment.

Salary Grade:  H          Hourly Pay:  $17.85            Hours per Day:   8           Days in Contract:  260
