Utah Connections Academy (UCA) is a tuition-free, online public school that serves students in grades K–12 throughout Utah. UCA is authorized under state law by the Utah State Charter School Board and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Utah Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Utah, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. UCA is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission, an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Working from your home office, the Enrollment Assistant will be a part of an energetic and thriving team community. . An online school has an environment conducive to supporting the various needs of teachers, administrators, students, and parents – all while being part of an organization that will value and support you. The Enrollment Assistant will be instrumental in supporting student and family transitions to the UCA model, student enrollment and retention services, cultivating communication between UCA families and staff, education management organizations (PVS), and supporting the enrollment process.
Responsibilities:
· This position reports to and serves the UCA School Board.
· In this role, the Enrollment Assistant supports the school board with the governance of both acceptance and rejection of enrollment applications as required by law. The position provides oversight in the enrollment process and in accordance with enrollment, placement and withdrawal policies and procedures adopted by the Board and supported by Pearson, and consistent with local, State and federal law.
· This position is responsible for ensuring that decisions regarding enrollment requests are administered fairly and without prejudice by both monitoring adherence to and administering enrollment policies in a fair and equitable manner.
· The UCA Enrollment Assistant will serve as the school-based enrollment coordinator acting as the school’s liaison to the Enrollment and Customer Engagement team in support of the enrollment process with such matters as escalated questions, school outreach to families and/or prior schools and the review of applications as requested by the Enrollment and Customer Engagement team.
· The Enrollment Assistant will serve as a subject matter expert in support of both families that are interested in applying to UCA and in support of Family Enrollment Counselors that provide customer support to UCA families during the application process.
· The UCA Enrollment Assistant will review applications and enter new enrollments into the state system.
· The Enrollment Assistant will attend board meetings and report on enrollment matters to the Board.
