Job Coach/Site Trainer
 
Location: Phoenix
Employee Status: Limited Time Appointment   
Hours Per Week: 40
Work Calendar: 10-Month
Pay Rate: $16.78/hr

 
CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Individual  positions may be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or other related duties
  • Transport, train, monitor, and evaluate students in a variety of community work sites under the direction of the Coordinating Teacher
  • Instruct through demonstration, independent living skills training (ie: interviewing, budgeting , home search s, transportation)
  • Implement appropriate behavior management strategies
  • Maintain accurate and complete daily records of student progress
  • Continual  growth through participation in workshops and training sessions
 
KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
  • Principles and practices of administration and management
  • Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
  • No Child Left Behind law
  • Fair Labor Standards Act as it relates to student employment
  • Principles, practices, and techniques of supported employment
  • Customer and Personal Service

  • Selecting and using training methods and procedures

SPECIAL CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
  • Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
  • Associate's degree or 60 units of college coursework
  • Work-related skill, knowledge, and experience
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention Training Certificates or ability to obtain
  • ASL (American Sign Language) skills to work with students/staff who are deaf or hard of hearing
