South Summit School District is accepting applications for an Instructional Coach to join our dedicated team of instructional educators. As a district committed to inspiring individuals to promote and achieve academic and character excellence, we are searching for a passionate educator who assist in refining and improving instructional practices. Salary will be based on the 2025-2026 Licensed Salary Schedule with 184 day contract and will receive 100% paid family medical benefits, retirement/pension, Life/LTD insurance, and paid time off. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, a current Utah teaching license. Preference given to those with an Instructional Coaching endorsement. Instructional Coaches will show: • Experience providing high quality Tier 1 instruction to students • Knowledge of best practices in Instructional Coaching • The ability to build a relationship of rapport and trust with the teacher they work with • Positive communication and effectiveness with a variety of stake holders • Confidentiality of the teachers with those they instruct • Growth mindset – believing that problems are opportunities • Strong, productive collaborative skills. This will include willingness to engage in rogust dialogue about issues that need to be addressed – even when those issues are difficult • Ability to connect teachers with resources • Experience providing professional learning is preferred. Willingness to learn and implement best practices in Adult Learning. • Experience with the PLC process • Understanding of how to make instructional decisions in response to data • Willingness to engage in building a coaching program from the ground up • Flexibility Teachers will also strive to align instructional practices with the district's strategic plan, emphasizing student and employee well-being.
