The HR Representative is the first level of a two level Human Resources Representative series.
Work product consists of administrative and technical support in the following HR disciplines; benefits, classification/compensation, records management, and recruitment. This includes providing customer service to internal and external customers by e-mail, phone, and in-person; receiving, verifying, collecting, and reviewing any necessary paperwork for Personnel/Payroll Action forms; verifying, advertising, tracking, and communicating with Hiring Managers regarding recruitment notices; administering fingerprinting process for new hire staff members; preparing, maintaining, tracking and ensuring Human Resources files are accurately archived according to the Arizona State Library Archives and Public Records retention schedule.
Position will be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or additional duties that occur from time to time.
High School Diploma or GED; one year of human resources experience or related experience, training, or education in the areas of benefits, classification/compensation, recruitment, and/or records management procedures or equivalent knowledge skills and abilities.  Experience in data entry and MS Office skills. 
  • Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
  • Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that driveon State business
  • Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit.
  • Principles and practices of administration and management.
  • Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Records management methods, procedures, and retention rules.
  • Data entry and use of office equipment
  • Use of PC’s and related software including Excel, Access and Microsoft Word

  • Learn sign language.
