The Ranches Academy is a small K-6 charter school s serving 365 students. It was founded in 2004 to join parents, teachers, students, and community together to create an environment where students have the opportunity to reach their highest potential and are challenged academically, primarily in the areas of reading, writing and arithmetic. This will be accomplished through an academically rigorous, content-rich educational program, in an environment of discipline, respect and parental involvement.
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Assistant Director/Educational Director. This leadership role is instrumental in shaping the educational direction of our school and ensuring the success and well-being of our students and staff.
You will play an integral role on our small administrative team as you work with our Executive Operational Director to ensure the school runs effectively and smoothly in all aspects. Although your primary role will be to oversee our educational programs, you will also be responsible to provide administrative support for the school. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the school, working closely with the school director.
Contribute to the development and management of the school budget.
Attend extracurricular activities.
Assist in facilities management duties.
Be available during school breaks to assist in situations that need immediate attention.
Work as needed throughout the summer as needed to prepare for the upcoming school year. (Summer schedule will be determined by school director, typically 2-3 days per week.)
Collaborate with the school leadership team to develop and implement educational strategies that align with our mission and vision.
Oversee curriculum development, ensuring alignment with state standards and best practices.
Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective and engaging instructional methods.
Address student discipline.
Complete required state reporting.
Organize summer school and enrichment programs.
Serve as Data Privacy Manager.
Monitor and analyze student performance assessment data.
Develop and implement school wide academic goals and report to governing board.
Support professional development opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills and stay current with educational trends.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment among the staff.
Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support individual and collective growth.
Assist in recruitment and hiring process.
Monitor student academic performance and collaborate with teachers to implement interventions as needed.
Spearhead initiatives to promote a positive school culture that values student well-being, character development, and academic excellence.
Support Special Education Director and attend and provide input at IEP meetings.
Set school wide academic and educational goals.
Parent and Community Engagement:
Cultivate strong relationships with parents, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Organize and participate in community events to showcase the school's achievements and involve parents in the educational process.
