Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Under the direction of the school principal, the preschool special education teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners, and productive citizens.  The preschool special education teacher establishes rapport with students, parents, general education staff, and colleagues; motivates students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education, and does so in accordance with each student’s ability.   The preschool special education teacher also differentiates curriculum, implements appropriate accomodations and moifications, and uses effective research-based methods of instruction.  The preschool special education teacher assesses, monitors, and evaluates students’ academic and social growth, progress on IEP goals, and growth in the Utah Core Standards for Early Learning.

Placed on Licensed Salary Schedule
Placement is determined by education level and years of experience.  Experience credit will be awarded for the first ten (10) years of certified experience in an accredited school.  

Full time. To begin August 2024. 

Must submit a district application, resume, and copy of valid teaching license, 3 letters of reference (2 current), and transcripts.
