Elementary Art Teacher
Guadalupe Charter School is composed of innovative, dynamic, and professional faculty members. The Art Teacher is a faculty member whose main priority is teaching all Charter School students the importance of visual arts and artistic expression in their lives. The Art Teacher is part of the larger Guadalupe School agency, and therefore is expected to follow the requirements of Guadalupe Charter School’s mission, goal, and objectives when interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community. Salary: $52,000 + full time benefits
Responsibilities: • Develop and implement art curriculum for students of various age groups from K-6th grades in 45 minute sessions. • Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery. • Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills. • Plan and organize art projects and exhibitions. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into other subjects. • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. • Communicate with parents about student performance and progress at all parent teacher events. • Maintain the Guadalupe Charter School behavior management plan.
