Achievement Coach is a dual position at Guadalupe School. This position is responsible for scheduling and ensuring assessments, benchmarks and year-end testing, are conducted with fidelity. Including training for staff to administer the testing and support staff in analyzing data to improve student achievement. In Conjunction the achievement coach will support K-3 grades through coaching and professional development, in early literacy.
Duties The assessment coordinator provide leadership and support in developing, implementing, monitoring, and sustaining a comprehensive student data and assessment system that connects assessment to instruction and facilitates the use of assessment results to target instruction and intervention.
Assessment Coordinator ? Serve as the School Assessment Coordinator and oversee the administration of the following assessments: Acadience Math, Acacdience reading, WIDA, RISE and any other district or state assessment as assigned. ? Coordinate with appropriate personnel at the school site and state office to set up testing requirements for any online assessments. ? Facilitate any required assessment training; handling of testing materials; scheduling of testing, provide a yearly assessment calendar for the school ? Attend state assessment meetings and clearly communicate information to the administration of the school ? Data analysis and support ? State reporting requirements associated with assessment data ? Experience with using state reporting sites, Amplify, DibelsNEXT, WIDA and RISE ? Attend the monthly Assessment Director meetings with the Utah State Board of Education ? Score Acadience Math and WIDA screener tests ? Make sure students receive the appropriate accommodations and they are appropriately applied in the testing platforms ? Maintain the accommodations spreadsheet ? Maintain the WIDA student list ? Print score reports for teachers, principal, and parents. Parent reports go to the front office to be sent home.
Literacy Coach The Literacy Coach ensures students receive high-quality literacy instruction. The Literacy Coach leads the development and improvement for teachers in the school. The Literacy Coach serves as the literacy content expert and provides support on curriculum, high-quality interactions, and the science of teaching reading.
? Provide professional development ? Conduct observations, model lessons, and participate in feedback conversations with teachers, assist teachers with data analysis ? Attend weekly professional learning community meetings ? Administer Acadience reading benchmarks
