Description
What Spectrum does . . .
Spectrum petitioned the state and will be formally moving to a 4-day instructional week with an alternate Friday next year. This will allow staff to engage in planning, collaboration for personalization, and complete special education documentation. Further, we have significantly increased our teacher pay scales to reflect the unique impact and commitment Spectrum teachers have on their students.
Spectrum Academy is the premier charter school that specializes in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. About 85% of our student body receives special education services.
Our classrooms are a hybrid of the mainstream and resource models found at typical schools. Our teachers are all required to have an IEP caseload and work with students who may or may not be receiving special education services.
Visit our website to learn more about our students and programs! www.spectrumcharter.org Our functional skills classroom is part of our self-contained classroom model.
