Adult Apprenticeship HVAC-R Instructor

FACILITY:	Career and Technical Center
POSITION:	Adult INSTRUCTIONAL – Apprenticeship Instructor for Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
JOB DESCRIPTION:	To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for adult students in preparation of state licensure.
OTHER INFORMATION:	Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Center, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Class calendar begins September and finishes in early April.  Fifty Class meeting days. Position open until filled.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:	Journey License required, Master’s License preferred. Teaching experience helpful but not required.  Applicant should be active in the field.   Applicant should have solid grounding and knowledge of foundational HVAC/R principles and theories.  This is primarily a lecture class with some hands-on training made available to students at the discretion of the ARI administrator in coordination with the instructor.  Come computer competency required. Teaching materials are provided, along with course outline.
SALARY:	This is an adult education position and is compensated at $30 per hour of instruction, plus 6 hours of preparation time.
