About Spectrum Academy Spectrum Academy is a premier Charter School that specializes in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Approximately 80% of our student body receives Special Education services. Our classrooms are a hybrid of mainstream and resource models found at typical schools. Essential Functions 1. Implement the assigned program of study. 2. Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning. 3. Utilize instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time on task. 4. Implement Individual Education Programs (IEP’s) in accordance with school policy. 5. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals on the IEPs. 6. Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis. 7. Meet professional responsibilities. 8. Maintain and upgrade professional skills. 9. Maintain professional work habits. 10. Maintain legally required records (attendance, grades, behavior reports, etc.) 11. Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships. 12. Adhere to the teacher code of conduct. 13. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Principal and the Academic Director.
