Description

KUSD invites you to apply for this Assistant Principal position at Cerbat Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year.

Summary/Objective

Assist the Principal in the administration of instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Responsible for day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of students, staff and activities. Ensure a safe, pleasant and effective educational atmosphere.

Supervisory Responsibility

In conjunction with the school principal, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Regularly required to remain stationary, type, and focus on a computer screen for long periods of time. Ability to move, transport, position, put, install, and remove items up to 10 pounds as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position, contracted for 164 days. Incumbent may regularly work extended hours in the performance of duties.
