Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 1), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 2), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 3), Secondary Education (6-12) (ARL).
The license position area must be in Math (General).
The license must be in one of the following grades: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active. Expired certifications will be considered.

SALT LAKE SCHOOL FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS (SLSPA) is a fully accredited, tuition-free, public charter high school located in the heart of Salt Lake City, where students grade 9-12 receive rigorous training in Dance, Media Arts, Music, and Theatre. SLSPA has a unique partnership with Salt Lake School District and Highland High School (HHS).
The Math teacher at SLSPA is responsible for planning standards-aligned content and creating a positive learning environment for 9th-12th grade students at SLSPA where students develop the skills to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, lifelong learners and productive citizens. Expectations include adapting mathematics curriculum for individual, small group, and remedial instruction; to meet the needs of identified students or subgroups of students; evaluating student progress and the ability to meet course standards in mathematical knowledge and skills. The Math teacher will coordinate with team members to find alignment and connection between core and arts content areas. Students attending Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts come from a diverse background. Teachers are often professional performers actively engaged in their fields in addition to being exceptional teachers.
