CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION | ||||||||||||
CLASS SUMMARY: The IEP Teacher manages planning and scheduling of all lEP and or MET meetings*, related reviews for compliance and completeness, amendment meetings and Special Education eligibility meetings as required and communicates schedules with staff, parents and school districts. Follows all state and federal requirements and ASDB procedures relating to meeting notification, prior written notice, and other documentation and requirements for IDEA. Ensures that the IEP is documenting goals and the level of completion, accuracy and compliance. Serves as the agency representative, representing its interest at IEP and or MET meetings. Coordinates multi-discipline teams to ensure any intervention plans and assessments are compliant and reviewed regularly with progress noted. Where warranted ensures that billable time is documented and readied for reimbursement. Communicates regularly to supervision and pertinent staff any changes in state or federal regulations and conducts in-service training on IEP issues. Assists with Extended School Year coordination. If position is assigned to ELP responsible for oversight of preschool referrals/intakes and coordinates transition meetings. Monitors all documentation for completion, accuracy and compliance related to IEP process. Facilitates IEP meetings and re-eligibility meetings. Coordinates follow-up of issues/concerns raised at IEP meetings. *At this time MET meetings are not assigned to the PDSD EES. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
