Description
* Supports the process of social-emotional learning by coaching students to effectively apply the skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
* Supports the school-wide PBIS system
* Supports the Student Support Team by attending regular meetings, implementing agreed upon interventions, and supporting teachers in the implementation.
* Supports the implementation and fidelity of student behavior interventions.
* Maintains effective communication with the Student Support Team, Principals, and Teachers regarding issues pertaining to the status of the student.
* Meets with students whose behavior data warrants intervention, to prevent behavior from escalating and works with them to follow the interventions that have been put in place.
* Demonstrates experience in implementing or managing positive behavior support in the classroom and consulting using proven methods.
