JOB TITLE: Warehouse Technician
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
CONTRACT STATUS: Full-time/12-month contract
SALARY SCHEDULE: Maintenance/Warehouse

SUMMARY: Provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: these statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to this position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
- Unpack items received and inspect for damage of defects.
- Verify accuracy of shipment by counting and comparing description and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase order; record any discrepancies or damage.
- Mark identifying information on items and post quantity received.
- Store items according to established procedures.
- Take items from stock to fill requisitions and carry them or deliver them by hand truck to requesting department/school site, and obtain authorized signature for supplies, furniture and/or equipment.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and building of classroom and office furniture.
- Inventory stock.
- Maintain warehouse and stockrooms in orderly manner.
- Deliver mail and parcels.
- Assists with special projects.
- All other duties as assigned by Principal or Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of general or related experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to follow all district policies and procedures. Ability to work independently, displaying initiative and enthusiasm for the tasks being done. Demonstrating communication skills, orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, and team members. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to document records accurately. Ability to manage confidential information in a manner that respects students, families, and employees. Ability to listen effectively.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret general written instructions in English language. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor, school personnel, and co-workers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition and subtraction.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS: Current driver’s license in good standing.
