Essential Functions:
Master's Degree is preferred.
Conduct assessments and evaluations in accordince with IDEA
Understands, evaluates, and interprets academic performance data.
Uses assessment and evaluation results to develop appropriate interventions for students, families, schools, and communities
Addresses the needs of the school, students, families, and community by collaborating with Related Services Team, IEP teams, and other staff to design a holistic approach to address barriers or problems with the educational process
Provides direct support services to students, classrooms, and small groups that are comprehensive and data-driven
Works with internal and external individuals, groups, and organization to develop programs or systems of care that support and enhance the health, social and emotional well-being, and ssafety of students
Assists students and their families in gaining access to formal and informal community resources
Completes written reports as requested by the Principal, Superintendent, related state or federal agencies that are in compliance with Federal, State, and Local Agencies
Maintain accurate case records and documentation
Maintain current knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations and abides by said laws and regulations with emphasis on persons with disabilities, child welfare, mental health, confidentiality, and student and parent rights
Develop and provide professional development workshops as requested by the Principal, Superintendent, or School Counselor
Participate in family educational opportunities
Adheres to and supports Board policy, School guidelines, and administrative rules, regulations, and directives
Conduct career and educational planning activities under the direction of supervisor
Participate in in-service activities and staff meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by the Prinicpal, Superintendent, and Lead School Counselor
