The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Autism, Deaf-Blind, Early Intervention Specialist, Educational Diagnostician, Emotional Behavior Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Special Education (General), Traumatic Brain Injury, Visual Impairment.
The license must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program. Expired certifications will be considered.
Description
Lumen Scholar Institute is an online charter school located in Orem, Utah, is now accepting applications for a full-time/part-time SpEd Teacher for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Part-time hours vary according to the position assigned.
Lumen provides our students with a high level of engagement and support from our teachers and staff. The majority of instruction is done live in a virtual classroom with periodic in-person learning activities and social experiences.
Teaching positions are remote, however, teachers are required to attend in-person student activities and employee meetings as State and Health Department guidelines permit. The remote workspace must be approved by the school to ensure limited viewing of the teacher's personal space. Technology equipment is provided by the school. Teachers must have a dedicated workspace in order to leave the equipment set up and avoid interruptions during the workday. All in-person requirements are within the Wasatch Front area.
Full-time position w/ benefits (health, dental, vision, 401K), part-time may also be considered. All equipment and training to teach online are provided by the school. Half-Time or less than 20 hours per week may be available for this position.
