Must hold a certificate issued by Arizona State Department of Education.
The certificate must be in Principal Certificate; PreK-12.
The certificate position area must be in Assistant Principal.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The certificate status must be active.

This is for the 2023-24 School Year.
Summary/Objective
Responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the administration of instructional leadership to staff including: curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Responsible for day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of students, staff and activities. Ensures a safe, pleasant and effective educational atmosphere.

Supervisory Responsibility
In conjunction with district administration, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Contracted days are dependent upon the specific assistant principal position. This position is eligible for health benefits.
