TEACh Strong 2023 - Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
Miami-Dade County Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the TEACh Strong ESE Summer Academy.
Purpose • To prepare and equip participants to support the learning needs of students with disabilities and ensure their educational, behavioral, social, and emotional successes.
Overview • Participate in an intensive five-week summer training (June 26th-July 28th), consisting of a comprehensive professional development curriculum, immersive classroom experiences, and mentorship. • Receive a $3,000 stipend in two (2) installments, with the final payment issued after completion of the program. • Upon meeting all M-DCPS pre-employment requirements, participants will be eligible for hire into full-time Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teaching positions with the District at an annual salary of $50,343. • Participants must apply for FLDOE certification prior to full-time hire.
Minimum requirements: • Completion of a Bachelor's degree. • Eligibility in a core subject area based on degree major OR evidence of a passing score on the Exceptional Student Education (K-12) Subject area exam.
