Qualifications
Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah Professional Teaching License with a Dine Language and Culture endorsement.  Must read, write, and speak Navajo fluently.  
*(Successful completion of the Navajo Nation Proficiency test will be required)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Under the general supervision of the School Principal and Heritage Language Director, teaches district approved curriculum to develop students' knowledge, skills, and abilities in comprehending, speaking, reading and writing the Navajo language, and to develop an understanding and appreciation of the Navajo culture.

Salary
Placed on Licensed Salary Schedule. 
Placement is determined by education level and years of experience.  Experience credit will be awarded for the first ten (10) years of certified experience in an accredited school.  

Low cost teacher housing available

Hours
Full-time, 183 days to begin August 14, 2023
