Description

St. Vincent School is seeking a middle school religion and social studies teacher who loves children and is motivated to teach according to our mission: "St. Vincent de Paul Parish School is a Christ-centered community where each person is a valued child of God. We are dedicated to cultivating the mind and the heart." This person will be the 6th grade homeroom teacher, and will teach religion and social studies to 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

Teachers benefits include medical insurance (the school pays 93% of the single coverage, 66% of the two-party coverage, and 41% of the family coverage), a 50% discount in tuition for their children, free after-school daycare, and $1,000 in professional development each year. St. Vincent School is a fantastic place to work because it is a supportive and welcoming community, and the children help make the working environment very pleasurable. Homeroom teachers receive a lot of help from our Student Support Team and the administration.

"Teaching at St. Vincent is more than just having a job, it is having a community and support system. The leadership of the school enhances my confidence and self-esteem by giving me trust, autonomy, and attentive assistance. The cohort of team-members mentors and takes care of one another. What's more, the student and parent body show wholehearted respect for me as an individual and educator. This school's environment is a safe place to grow and learn for teachers and students alike. On top of all this, I never have the 'Sunday Blues,' dreading the approaching week of work, because coming to St. Vincent is pleasurable and invigorating." - Rachel Nemelka, 7th Grade Teacher
