Special Education Director & Instructor for 2023-2024 School Year

Career Path High, an established charter school located in Kaysville, Utah, is accepting applications for a full-time Special Education Director & Instructor for the upcoming 2023-2024 School Year.

Career Path High is a Blended Learning Flex model. Our blended learning model removes restrictions that formerly have been defined by traditional education, empowering students with maximum flexibility over time, place, path and pace.

The Special Education Director and Instructor will: -Develop and implement all IEP’s and related services. Coordinate with outside service providers in order to schedule service time, progress reports, and attendance at IEP meetings. -Outreach and contact to all Special Education students. -Direct communication to parents and administrators. -Conduct regular evaluations and articulate results. -Maintain student confidential files that meet Special Education regulations. -Complete all State and Federal reports. -Monitor the academic progress of students, including weekly trackers shared with both student and parent. -Academic interventions. -Administration of assessment tools. Request accommodations for all statewide assessments. -Oversight of state required assessments for all Special Education students. -Develop and implement academic strategies and resources, including those that motivate and incentivize student engagement. -Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to meet the needs of the students. -Track student success in their Davis Technical College Program. -Develop and implement a transition program in correlation with the college and career readiness goals of the charter. -Act as liaison with Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Supervision of Special Education paraprofessionals. -Perform all other duties as discovered and assigned.
