Description

Crossroad Academy Charter School of Business seeks a dynamic Principal to join our growing family. The successful candidate will exhibit the ability to lead and manage the school and its staff in the execution of the organization's vision & mission while establishing a positive, safe learning environment where students achieve and thrive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructional Leadership

The principal implementing the instructional leadership vision for the school Supports the creation and execution of an effective and efficient learning environment Collaborates with families, businesses, and community leaders to meet the school’s goals Uses assessment data to assist teachers and parents in meeting student needs Monitors student progress in areas of academic development Responds to diverse community interests and needs Mobilizes school and community resources to improve the learning environment

School Operations

Plans and schedules his/her own time and that of others for efficient and effective operation in alignment with the operational mission of the school. Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues at the school. Collects and analyzes data for school improvement Communicates effectively, including the use of technology for efficiency Encourages the use of electronic technology for instruction Implements the integration of technology in the classroom Follows through with all assigned duties Models ethical behavior in all interactions as specified in the educator code of ethics

School Leadership

Leading and cultivating an achievement culture of excellence for employees and students Recruitment, selection, and coaching of personnel Acts to ensure a safe, efficient, legal, and effective teaching and learning environment. Managing the school, its operations, facilities, and resources to enhance learning Acts with integrity, fairness, and honesty

Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Strives to implement best practices and positive character education consistently.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CACS/CEDO salary and benefit policy. This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an “at-will” relationship.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

EVALUATION

The performance will be evaluated following state statutes.

DECLARATION

The CACS/CEDO, Human Resources Department, retains the sole right and discretion to make changes to this position description. Any employee making changes unauthorized by the Human Resources Department will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
