Middle School Science Teacher

J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School in Salt Lake City is seeking energetic and committed Middle School Teachers to join our incredible 6th, 7th & 8th grade team. We are looking for professionals who will positively contribute to our school community and mission. The position could be full or part-time depending on responsibilities accepted. Teachers collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs and support growth. Excellent curriculum design, instructional strategies, classroom management and communication skills needed.

6th, 7th and 8th grade science teacher who would be expected to continue the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards with one class each of 6th, 7th and 8th grade for three total classes. https://www.nextgenscience.org/ Students in middle school continue to develop understanding of core ideas in the physical, life and earth and space sciences. The performance expectations blend the core ideas with scientific and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts to support students in developing usable knowledge to explain real world phenomena. The middle school science teacher also facilitates 7th & 8th grade science fair participation.
