POSITION: Groundskeeper
OPEN: Until Filled
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Demonstrates competence in the use of tools and equipment used to perform assigned tasks.
- Prior experience in grounds keeping, lawn maintenance and landscaping is desirable.
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- Experience or knowledge with small engine repairs helpful.
- Demonstrates competence in operating backhoe and/or front end loader
- Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.
- Must pass background check to obtain a Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Fingerprint Clearance card.
- Such alternatives as the governing Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
JOB GOALS: To provide students with a safe, attractive, and clean campus in which to learn, play and develop.
EQUIPMENT, AIDS, TOOLS, MATERIALS
Uses office equipment such as telephone, computers, fax machine and copier. Operates a standard or automatic transmission motor vehicle. Operates power driven machinery. Uses the full range of power and hand tools associated with the construction and maintenance trades.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Outdoor and indoor environment. Exposure to noise. Contact with employees, students, and the public. Exposure to hazardous, noxious substances and fumes. Exposure to low, medium, and high voltage electrical current.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) Month
SALARY: Placed on appropriate Salary Schedule according to experience and education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
