Clinical Counselor (School Based)

Job Responsibilities:

Evaluates the needs of children with disabilities and their families and develops treatment plans. Provides comprehensive individual, group and family psychotherapy for children with disabilities and/or their families. Provide play therapy or social skills training for children with disabilities. Deliver on-going comprehensive case management to participants to enable healthy family functioning and strengthen family resilience. Assist families with information about their child’s diagnosis and condition, provide resources and identify strategies for the coordination of education, medical, social services and community service providers. Ensure the facilitation of on-going support groups for parents/families, parent trainings and other family activities Provide relevant and related professional development to UCP team members and other community agencies. Maintains accurate and complete client records Adheres to laws regarding confidentiality and reporting requirement Assist other team members in problem solving family issues/concerns
