Licensed Clinical Social Worker
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides mental health services to students in our schools. The LCSW works with identified students and their families to provide best practice, wrap-around mental health services. They collaborate with outside service providers to provide a continuum of care between the school and the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct mental health counseling to individuals and/or groups of students Conduct mental health assessments for students and provide appropriate referrals and resources Provide consultation to school administrators, teachers, and staff regarding mental health and its impact on students, their learning, and their behavior Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, school counselors, and student support specialists to create appropriate mental health treatment plans Monitor and report student progress towards treatment goals Develop and maintain proper documentation of services, interventions, and interactions with students Coordinate with community-based providers and external agencies to ensure a continuum of services Serve on division and school-based crisis response teams Provide professional development to school staff about mental health Other assignments as deemed necessary by the Director of Student Services. Candidates must have a Virginia-approved LCSW license. These positions will be on a 200-day contract.
