Front Office Receptionist
The front office is the hub of the school and is the first thing students and parents see as they enter the school. The receptionist will interact with all the students in the school in many ways. They provide, information, care, concern, guidance, and encouragement. Parents rely on the front office personnel to help them navigate the Odyssey experience and share in the care of their students.
• Serves students, parents, and visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. • Notifies appropriate school personnel of visitors. • Maintains student data security • Answers and appropriately handles phone calls. • Informs parents visitors by answering or referring inquiries. • Directs parents and visitors by maintaining employee and department directories. • Maintains physical security by following procedures, monitoring attendance, and monitoring visitors • Keeps a safe and clean office area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Supports continuity among school staff by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing large projects as needed.
Position is 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Holidays and other days off follow the same schedule as the school. Typically, if students are not at school the receptionist is not required to be at school. The position does require work over the summer but summer hours are reduced and more flexible. As a full-time position, benefits such as health insurance and retirement are available.
