Job Summary
The Bus Shop Helper will be responsible for bus seat repair and video camera setup and calibration.  They will assist mechanics by filling oil and antifreeze containers, chase parts, deliver and pick up buses, clean the fuel island, clean, and restock the bus wash area, brand, balance and stock tires and snow removal.  Attendance, physical presence, and timeliness are required and are essential functions of this position.

  • Digital camera system maintenance

  • Experience with camera system preferred.

Working Environment
  • This position will require inside and outside work in warm and cold temperatures, inclement weather, and other adverse conditions.  Shop is sometimes loud.  Appropriate safety equipment will be issued and an expectation for its proper use is present.
Physical Requirements – Not limited to the following:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak and/or hear.  Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch.  Occasionally required to use hands to lift, handle or feel, and must occasionally climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
