Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: In-School Suspension, Paraprofessional/Teaching Aide, Paraprofessional/Teaching Aide (Special Education).
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a confident, creative, and energetic Elementary Technology Instructor to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about digital literacy and eager to inspire students in grades 2–5 as they develop essential 21st-century skills.
As the Technology Instructor, you will be a vital part of our instructional support team, helping students navigate the digital world safely while fostering curiosity and technical proficiency.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead technology-based instruction for students in grades 2 through 5.
Deliver and guide students through lessons provided in our established district curriculum.
Manage a classroom environment of approximately 22–25 students, ensuring a positive and productive atmosphere for learning.
Support students in the proficient use of hardware (computers, Chromebooks) and various educational software platforms.
Foster a classroom culture of digital citizenship and creative problem-solving.
Position Details:
Grade Levels: 2nd – 5th Grade.
Role Type: Support Position (Instructional Support).
Schedule: Full-time for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
Must be comfortable using computers, Chromebooks, and educational technology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with elementary-aged children.
Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Must be willing to obtain a Tier I Para Certificate.
