DEFINITION: Under close supervision, performs clerical duties and detailed record keeping functions within the Medicaid Office for Sunnyside Unified School District.

Greets visitors, answers, and transfers telephone calls; sorts and distributes mail; makes copies; sends and receives faxes; and ensures office is well organized and attractive.
Retrieves student demographic data to prepare provider/transportation service logs
Alphabetizes claim forms, CPR/First Aid certifications, mileage printouts (i.e. MapQuest)
Electronically logs in monthly health aide and provider claim forms, RMS Time Study forms, Completed AHCCCS applications, provider license renewals, parental consent forms
Follow-up calls on missing documents/RMTS submittals, CPR attendance
Photocopies and files documents
Prepares claim forms for mailing to billing agent
Prepares general bulk mailings
Answer telephone calls, provides customer service to Medicaid participants
Monitors provider license/CPR/First Aid expiration dates and notifying providers accordingly
Assists in audit and training/workshop preparation
Archives Medicaid files which must be maintained for a period of five (5) years; shred outdated documents
Maintain strict confidentiality to safeguard employee and student privacy
Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of District policies and procedures.
Knowledge of clerical techniques.
Skill in the use of a personal computer and related software programs (email, Excel, Word, Google docs, IEP application and student information system).
Skill in handling requests in a timely manner.
Skill in updating and maintaining letters and reports.
Skill in following oral and written instructions.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor environment. Work requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, repetitive motion, vision to monitor, and may require some lifting up to 20 pounds. 
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Additional certifications may also be required as specified by the District.

Salary Grade:  9          Hourly Pay:  $13.94         Hours per Day:   8            Days in Contract:  260        Start Date: 2022/2023 School Year
