Description

Part-Time Photography Teacher At Indian River Charter High School, we are seeking a passionate and creative Photography Teacher who is dedicated to inspiring students through visual storytelling and artistic expression. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, student-driven learning environment where students are encouraged to develop technical skills, explore their creativity, and take ownership of their artistic growth.

Key Responsibilities: Inspire & Engage Students in Photography

Develop and implement engaging, hands-on lesson plans that introduce students to both technical photography skills and artistic composition. Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, autonomy, and experimentation in digital and film photography. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to enhance student learning and skill development. Empower Student Autonomy & Growth

Encourage students to explore their personal artistic vision while mastering the fundamentals of photography. Provide individualized feedback and support to help students develop their technical skills and creative confidence. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported. Create a Collaborative & Inclusive Classroom Culture

Foster a respectful and inspiring environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves artistically. Promote peer collaboration and critique, allowing students to learn from one another and refine their work. Set clear expectations for creative projects, deadlines, and work ethic while reinforcing professionalism and artistic integrity. Assess & Support Student Progress

Use portfolios, critiques, and project-based assessments to evaluate student progress and artistic development. Celebrate student achievements by showcasing student work in exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms. Engage with the School Community

Participate in school-wide arts events, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary collaborations that highlight student creativity. Support students in submitting their work to contests, portfolios, and community art initiatives. Actively contribute to the mission and values of Indian River Charter High School, fostering a culture of artistic excellence and student empowerment.
