21st CCLC - Arts Specialist

Job Specifications: (Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required)

The 21st CCLC Art Specialist supports the 21st CCLC Program enrichment curriculum by providing art specials in a variety of categories, including but not limited to visual arts, dance, music, and performing arts. The 21st CCLC Art Specialist is the lead of a group of 10-20 students in providing art enrichment activities during the UCP CCLC after school days and summer program.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging art activities, including creating lesson plans Create a classroom culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity, and discovery Assist to complete appropriate data collections (i.e., attendance) according to grant requirements Assist in the assessment of student progress Assist with family engagement activities (including Family Night) as requested and participates in and delivers arts integration professional development to families and staff members Assist in creation and implementation of showcases of work Assist in implementing art-based field trips Performs other related duties as required and assigned
