Heritage Language Teacher
Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Utah Professional Teaching License with a Dine Language and Culture endorsement. Must read, write, and speak Navajo fluently.
*(Successful completion of the Navajo Nation Proficiency test will be required)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Teaches district-approved curriculum to students grades 7-12; meets and instructs assigned classes; plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students; creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning Navajo culture and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
Placed on Licensed Teacher Salary Schedule
Full-time, 183 days to begin August 2022
Must submit an application, resume, and copy of valid teaching license, 3 letters (2 current) of reference, and transcripts.
