Job Title: Registrar Full Time
Credentials: None required for this position.
Education: High school diploma or GED
Training or experience required: 6 - 12 months of successful employment as a secretary or administrative assistant with school district experience, preferred. Must have strong computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Publisher, and other software knowledge desirable.

Essential Job Functions:
Create confidential record files on all students referred for special education evaluation/ placement and residential facilities.
Maintain confidential records in an orderly manner.
Conduct continuing and on going examination of records to assure they are in order, accurate, and complete.
Contact personnel, as necessary, to correct incomplete/inaccurate records.
Conduct all filing activities.
Destroy inactive records as required by law.
Act as an informational resource regarding student confidential records.
Maintain confidentiality of all special education records and matters.
Maintain transcription of grades/test scores for students in residential facilities.
Complete the Accreditation Report for residential facilities.
Maintain the accreditation book/records for residential facilities.
Assist alternative education with dropout report in regards to residential facilities.
Typing State and Federal grant applications and reports.
Computer word processing, data entry, and form design.
Computer development and maintenance of student database.
Complete purchase and warehouse requisitions.
Computerized tagging of Special Education students on the Infinite Campus.
Maintain records on “Special Students” under the Residency Bill.
Maintain and replenish the forms file.
Day to day maintenance of office machines.
Maintain and check out Central Collection Professional Materials and Journals.
Maintain an electronic record cook of receipts/invoices.
Assist in balancing and maintaining directors budget and grant monies. Complete state and federal grant applications, budget pages, and reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Successful performance of the job requires good customer service/people skills and to handle problems and provide information and technical assistance as requested. It requires complying with safety guidelines and policies to reduce accident or injury to staff or to students. It requires following school dress standards, proper attendance or leave policies, and other work-habits concerns for staff. Creativity, initiative and effective problem solving are critical to the success of the position.Help manage the computerization of school district operations. Provide training and support to district staff in the use of administrative computer systems. Perform such tasks to the ultimate benefit of the educational program. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent judgment due to the complexity of the job. Since there may be several ways to solve a problem, an incumbent is free to choose the solution.
