Description
Copper Hills Youth Center, a residential treatment center for teens ages 12-17, is current accepting applications for a full time special education/social studies teacher. The qualified candidate would teach five academic classes per day, rotating through teaching U.S. History, World History, Government and an elective of your choice during summer term. Be part of an innovative teaching team that embraces hands on learning, cooperative learning and teacher collaboration. Average class size of students is 8-12 students. The average yearly caseload for IEP’s is approximately 12-14. You should have plenty of time in your work day that you should not have to take work home with you. Having a healthy work/personal life balance is critical for teachers.
