Data System Coordinator
Purpose
The job of Data System Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of managing, creating, and presenting various
forms of data to facilitate continuous improvement efforts throughout the district. This position will be charged
with creating systems to monitoring all communicate data sources with the District.
This job reports to Assigned Administrator
Essential Functions
Collaborates with district personnel to support implementation for the purpose of gathering and integrating all
data systems within the district on the Decision Ed dashboard.
Collects analyzes, and creates reports within the district for the purpose of developing and monitoring
district programs.
Create and train staff on accurately monitors data imported into the Decision Ed dashboard.
Designs systems for data to be uploaded, monitored, and validated for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of
the district dashboard (Runs verification extracts, reports, to ensure accuracy of data within the system).
Develops procedures and training materials for district staff involved with data system integration for staff
for the purpose of enhancing programs for district continuous improvement and ensuring that program
operations and support departments and schools.
Develop standard daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and dashboards for the purpose of
ongoing continuous improvement cycle.
Document the data sources process through dictionary, identifies single source of truth, and mapping data into system for dashboard creation and validation.
Explicit development of District/School Leadership in data system uploading, usage for the purpose of
supporting staff and effectively implementing continuous improvement.
Facilitates the design, development, and delivery of dashboards to use with state, federal accountability to review processes continuous improvement models.
Facilitates professional development for the purpose of organizing/visualizing data into all aspects of district
and school operations for continuous improvement.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality for the purpose of protecting all parties involved
in data aggregation, processing and defining systems.
Makes data accessible to all staff required to monitor system for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of data
imported into the system.
Models’ tenacity in implementing data system practices for the purpose of supporting monitoring systems of
schools, departments, and overall district through systematic work inside and outside of the classroom.
Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or
gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning
of the work unit.
Trains staff on accurately updating data for the purpose of importing into the Decision Ed dashboard to
ensure the accuracy of data within the system.
Translates data into meaning visualizations. Selecting types and forms of visualization for the purpose to view best
fitting data and context of analysis.

professional learning and coaching to schools.
KNOWLEDGE is required to Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: basic math,
including calculations using fractions, percent’s and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate
group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Practicing positive Behavior Interventions and Supports

Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading, guiding, and/or
Coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often
required to perform job’s functions. There is some opportunity to effect the organization’s services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting,30% walking, and 20% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibilities is desired.
Education: Masters degree in job-related area.
