Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Admissions/Registrar, Counselor/Guidance, Financial Aid, Minority/Multicultural Affairs, Pupil Personnel Workers, School Nurse.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The certificate status must be active.
Description
The Tri-City Learning Academy Student and Family Services Coordinator is a new position that will work hand in hand with the TCLA Director, as well as TCLA students and families. The primary duties for this individual include: acting as the liaison between TCLA and participating home districts, communicating between various staff at each home district to assist with mass communications and arrangements for TCLA students, creating, monitoring and sending various reports to participating home districts, assisting students and families with the enrollment process and transitions from brick and mortar and TCLA. This individual will also collaborate with the TCLA Director in the planning and organization of TCLA Connect activities, be a source of student and family support for a variety of needs, as well as enrolling and monitoring credit recovery students.
Not required but preferred: This position would prefer an individual who holds a school counselor certification to assist with the social and emotional needs of TCLA students. This person would be a resource for students and families in the event a mental health concern arises, as well as take a proactive approach to mental health by providing resources in a variety of ways. This individual would be a safe space for students to discuss issues/concerns/receive help, just as an on campus school counselor would do.
