SPANISH LANGUAGE TEACHER
Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Middle Education (5-9) (Level 1), Middle Education (5-9) (Level 2), Middle Education (5-9) (Level 3), Middle Education (5-9) (ARL), Secondary - ATC only (Level 1) , Secondary - ATC only (Level 2), Secondary - ATC only (Level 3), Secondary - ATC only (ARL), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 1), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 2), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 3), Secondary Education (6-12) (ARL), Special Education (K-12+) (Level 1), Special Education (K-12+) (Level 2), Special Education (K-12+) (Level 3), Special Education (K-12+) (ARL), Secondary (APT only) (ARL), Secondary (APT only) (Level 1), Secondary (APT only) (Level 2), Secondary (APT only) (Level 3), Secondary - ATC only (Level 1).
The license position area must be in Spanish.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Spark Academy is a co-ed, residential treatment program for adolescents, specializing in neurodiversity. Besides treatment, we provide a full curriculum, year-round school as part of helping our students discover a love of learning and confidence in their education. We are accredited by the Utah State Board of Education as a special education school, and utilize instructional pedagogy that is centered on project-based learning.
We currently seek to hire a Spanish Language Teacher for our Spark Academy School. We look for a candidate who exemplifies innovation and resourcefulness, to help our students engage with their peers and utilize higher-level thinking skills when working through their projects.

Schedule: • Exempt. Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. • Our academic calendar and contracts are YEAR-ROUND, with two-week breaks in between each term. • The incumbent is intended to start as soon as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Design and teach lesson plans in assigned subject of Spanish Language, with clearly defined goals and objectives. • Educate students, ages 13 to 18, with various academic levels and special needs. • Frequently communicate and work with the Special Education Coordinator to receive updates regarding IEP goals for each student assigned to your classroom. • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, submitting grade reports on time.
