Special Education Secretary / File Clerk
Syracuse Arts Academy, a well-established charter school located in Syracuse, Utah, is now accepting applications for a Special Education Secretary/ File Clerk. This position will be full-time. The start date for this position is April 25th, 2022 through June 30th, 2022 and will then continue on for the 2022-2023 school year.

The Job of the Special Education Secretary/ File Clerk was established for the purpose of providing administrative support to the Special Education Director as well as Special Education Staff, Related Service Providers and other school staff. The individual will collect and convey information to necessary parties within the LEA regarding functions relevant to the Special Education Department and performing duties essential to the operations of the department and school. This position reports directly to the Special Education Director.
Essential Functions: -Maintain a wide variety of documents, files and records (manual and computer) that are confidential in nature and necessary for immediate reference. -Facilitate purchasing, billing and payments for Special Education Department, Related Service Providers and Contracted Providers. -Assist in Inventory Management and Dissemination for Evaluation Materials with Eligibility Coordinator, School Psychologist, and Administration as needed. -Coordinate, collect and maintain current required documentation for Related Service Providers with the Special Education Director. -Coordinate, collect and maintain current required documentation and payment for outside contracted software providers with the Special Education Director. -Point of Contact for IT equipment management, including internal and external providers. -Coordinate and Document (Update The Transfer Log) Student Special Education File Transfers with other districts. -Assist in maintaining accuracy of the Student Information System (Aspire) for Sped records. -Provide orientation for Special Education Staff. -Coordinate distribution and collection of Para-Educator Evaluations and collect relevant information to guide training recommendations (tri-annually). -Support assigned administrative personnel for the purpose of providing assistance with their administrative functions. -Assist other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. -Demonstrate professional communication skills through responding to various inquiries from internal and external parties through different mediums of communication. -Disclaimer: This list is not all inclusive.
