About Us WayPoint Academy is a residential treatment center specializing in treating young men (12-18) with anxiety, depression, and OCD. We are located in Huntsville and are open year-round.
Role Youth Mentors assist in the development and treatment of our students and making a positive impact in their lives. Responsibilities include teaching students skills - everything from appropriate social skills, how to do laundry, cook meals, and belay a rappel. Mentors support students in developing better executive function skills. Mentors work with therapists and teachers to help our students overcome their anxiety and depression so they can participate in life.
Qualifications Have a high school diploma Must be at least 21 years old Must be available to work Saturday or Sunday Valid driver's license and clean driving record Successful completion of a background check Must be reliable and punctual Be able to participate in recreation activities which may include mountain biking, hiking, climbing, canoeing, paddle boarding, skiing, snowboarding, etc.
Position Information Starting wage $15.50/hr. Upon successfully completing first 90 days, $16.00 WayPoint Academy is located just 20 minutes east of Ogden
