High School CTE Computer Programming/Applications Teacher

Description HS CTE Teachers are responsible for providing career and technical instruction in the high school setting that meets state standards and provides for the IDEA requirements of students. Essential Functions Job Responsibilities: 1. Provide daily instruction in CTE computer education in alignment with identified teaching standards and developed curriculum maps. 2. Fosters a classroom climate conducive to learning including utilizing instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time on task. 3. Collect CTE education program data to evaluate student progress including state course evaluations. 4. Share data with the school team and parents. 5. Consult and collaborate with team members as a part of a PLC. 6. Collaborate with paraprofessionals to schedule services and to modify students' programs. 7. Supervise, teach and monitor student teachers, peer tutors and other staff assigned to assist with programming. 8. Assure confidentiality of all student information. 9. Participate in family educational opportunities, including but not limited to Parent Empowerment Nights. 10. Develops and implements Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with school policy including honoring all student accommodations. 11. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals on IEPs. 12. Meet professional responsibilities. 13. Maintain and upgrade professional skills. 14. Maintain professional work habits. 15. Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships. 16. Adhere to and support USBE ethics policies, Board policy, school guidelines, and administrative rules and directives 17. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
