Description
The teacher will be working mostly with behavior management systems and teaching based on each individual students’ academic, social, and behavioral programming. Instruction is directly aligned with the Utah State Core Standards.
Essential Functions: Implements the assigned program of study. Fosters a classroom climate conducive to learning. Utilizes instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time on task. Develops and implements Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with school policy. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals on the IEPs. Communicates effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis. Meets professional responsibilities. Maintains and upgrades professional skills. Maintains professional work habits. Promotes and maintains positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships. Adheres to the teacher code of conduct. Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Principal, Behavior Services Coordinator, and the Regional Director For Secondary Teachers Conduct transition assessments. Provide transition instruction. Draft annual transition plans.
