SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS

Applicants need to provide a copy of their good driving record for consideration as a bus driver for Falls Church City Public Schools. All positions are part-time and require a split shift working in the mornings to bring students to school and in the afternoons for the return home. Very rewarding and well paid part-time contracted positions. Benefits include: Health Insurance, Retirement, Personal and Sick Leave. Bus drivers can bring their children or grandchildren along on the bus for regular bus runs and daytime field trips; no babysitter needed. FCCPS provides training that is paid upon successful completion of class and OTR training. Training starts early July!

Each driver must:

• Pass required initial and follow-up physicals, drug and alcohol screens, driving record standards, and criminal background investigations.

• Obtain a Commercial Driver License and successfully complete school bus driver certification training program, involving more than 48 hours of classroom, behind-the-wheel, and on-the-job training under the close supervision of certified driver trainers.

• Participate in regular in-service training programs to maintain a high level of both skill and knowledge.

• Maintain a good driving record.
