Marketing Teacher (2020-21)
The teacher will provide instruction to students in various Marketing courses. This includes instruction to assist students in developing a career plan, communication skills, computer skills, and other essential workplace knowledge. Teacher will prepare students for industry-recognized certification exams such as NRF Customer Service and Sales certification exams. The teacher will be responsible for instructing tasks and competencies in the following courses: - Marketing - Fashion Marketing - International Marketing - Cooperative Education - Other Marketing courses as assigned
The teacher should: - Have experience in curriculum development - Have experience using technology in an educational setting - Demonstrate effective classroom management, especially in safe and appropriate use of computer equipment - Have strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate effectively with students and families
The teacher will be responsible for including Virginia’s Workplace Readiness skills in the curriculum, completing lesson plans, following and maintaining Student Competency Records, co-sponsoring the co-curricular organization for students – DECA, and maintaining records for other state and local reports. Additionally, the teacher will function as the manager of the School store. Teacher certified in NRF Customer Service and Sales certifications is required.
