Walden School of Liberal Arts is a small public charter school with small class sizes. We value student choice and autonomy and educator involvement and collaboration. Our community is a welcoming, safe place for students of all backgrounds and identities. Classes at Walden are academically rigorous and our teachers differentiate for a wide range of abilities. Walden is known for recognizing individual differences and for providing students with the support that they need on an individual basis to be academically successful.
Teachers receive professional development and peer support to help them deliver student-led and project based learning.

Take attendance and enter grades in our online student information system. [Optional] Attend Faculty Meetings weekly (Tuesdays 3:15-4:30pm) and Professional Development monthly [Optional] Help to plan and chaperone school events (dances, overnight excursions, international expeditions, service day, etc.)
Walden Science teachers have agency in the design of their individual classes, and the collaborative support of their colleagues. All Walden teachers all are expected to address Utah State Core standards and objectives. Additionally, Walden participates in the IB Diploma Program for 11th and 12th grades students. Teachers guide and support these students throughout their junior and senior years and prepare them to take Internal Assessments and IB exams at the end of their senior year.
