English teachers have agency in the design of their individual classes, and the collaborative support of their colleagues. All Walden teachers all are expected to address Utah State Core standards and objectives. Additionally, Walden participates in the IB Diploma Program for 11th and 12th grades students. Teachers guide and support these students throughout their junior and senior years and prepare them to take Internal Assessments and IB exams at the end of their senior year.
